Hunter AHP joins forces with Credentially
Hunter Gatherer AHP, a London-based healthcare recruitment network, has signed with Credentially to dramatically increase onboarding speed and meet requirements for both REC and NHS Workforce Alliance.
The industry average to complete pre-employment checks currently sits around 60 days (and carries a failure rate of 66%), a widely-reported frustration for both healthcare professionals and hiring managers alike. By automating their referencing processes, Hunter AHP’s goal is to onboard new starters on the order of days rather than weeks and months. This lightning-paced onboarding speed is something that Credentially has already achieved for others, including Lincolnshire Remote GP Services.
A key aim is to increase efficiency in the pre-employment check process while simultaneously reducing the time spent on manually checking compliance. Hunter states that this will afford them greater scalability and allow for “authentic growth” as a network.

Stymieing lost talent is another big objective, given that a side effect of months-long onboarding is the high rate of dropout during the process (resulting in the loss of excellent clinical candidates who drift off to other employers.)
“Clinicians waste a staggering 30% of their time on paperwork,” explains Kit Latham, co-founder of Credentially and himself an A&E doctor. “As well as the day-to-day admin, the paperwork problem is acutely noticeable when it comes to starting a new placement - taking two entire months to jump through all the compliance hoops is the norm, and often even longer when it comes to the NHS.”
“If we can help doctors with this, they will have more time to care, and we all benefit as patients and taxpayers.”
